Access control is one of the security system parts. Access control systems (ASC) are designed for object access restriction, movement within object restriction and working time logging.
ASC concept:
All employees are issued with personal identifier (magnetic card, proximity card, Touch Memory).
With the help of this identifier every employee enters and moves within object, so access policies are managed in ASC.
For example, one particular identifier (employee) is permitted to open only particular doors (or pass turnpikes) and restricted to open all the others, and permitted doors stay permitted to open on timely basis (e.g. 9:00-17:00).
With help of ASC it is possible to manage vehicle access to object’s territory, it this case, if identifier is used, gates or bars are opened. In case of database usage, at the moment of identifier submission, information on employee is displayed on screen: his access permissions, movement statistics. The system decides on passing basing on access permissions.
ACS capabilities:
Access to particular objects rights separation. Refusal on entry to unwanted person.
Information on people, who passed on particular access point.
Arrival to and departure from work logging. In this way ASC calculates total time, spent on workplace.
Time of arrival/departure. Attempts of access to restricted places, rooms. Attempts of access in non-permitted time. Movement statistics, with indication on time and place of passing. All violations of labor discipline can be added to personal case with interested people notification.
At any time employee location is determined by last passing point.

During pass, all employee’s data is displayed on screen, including a photo, so possibility of passing with somebody else’s identifier is eliminated.
